Creative Practice
The Broader Field (Formerly Kate Sherman Projects) offers workshops, classes and immersives for creatives. An award winning performance maker and performer with over 20 years experience in the industry Kate holds space for creatives to explore, develop, deepen their practice, connect more fully to self and collaborate. Kate draws on Performance Making modalities such as The Viewpoints & Composition (Anne Bogart & Tina Landau), Frantic Assembly’s techniques, Complicite, Pina Bausch, Les Ballet C De La B, DV8, Somatic modalities such as Embodied Flow Yoga, Body Mind Centering & Body Weather, Complicite and Jungian Depth Psychology Process Work.
Creative Practice Facilitation
The Broader Field offers Creative Practice Facilitation for all creatives from young artists to highly experienced practitioners. We also offer the services of dramaturgy on projects and Coaching for Creatives.

A creative lab for artists produced by The Broader Field, facilitated by Kate Sherman exploring Viewpoints, Composition & Contemporary Performance Practice.
A 3 day creative lab, for actors, dancers, teaching artists, writers, filmmakers, directors, performance artists and dramaturgs. Connect to your creative state to be more embodied and dynamic, hone your impulses to respond authentically & cultivate a deeper sense of presence. Come & connect or reconnect to your curiosity and develop your performance making skills through experimentation and play. Start the year with the gift to yourself of time and space to deepen your practice, in a fun, collaborative and supportive environment surrounded by community.
Mornings we will draw from expansive somatic practices such as embodied flow yoga, body mind centering, body weather, authentic movement and gaga to explore free movement taking us into flow practices. Afternoons we will investigate Viewpoints, Composition & Responsive Writing exploring how they can be utilised to devise performance that is creative, playful and expansive.
